The fragrance of French Lilacs is fresh and floral with sweet undertones, dewy green top notes, and a soft drydown. Common lilacs are also known as French lilacs because that’s where many of the earliest hybrids were bred. French Lilacs are a treasured favorite, bringing to mind air freshened with the heady spring fragrance of freshly cut lilac blooms. Lilacs were considered the first emotion of love in the Victorian 'Language of Flowers'. To find a lilac blossom with five instead of four corolla lobes means good luck. French Lilacs soaps beautifully in our CP soap formulations with no acceleration and with only the slightest off white discoloration. A small amount of Titanium Dioxide (1/4 teaspoon per lb of base oils) allows for beautifully white batches usinging this fragrance oi. This fragrance was developed by Kelly Bloom when she owned Southern Soapers.
